　　Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment。 There were few people on the earth， and natural resources seemed to be unlimited。Today things are different。 The world has bee too crowded。 We are using up our natural resources，and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals。 If we continue to do this， human life on earth will not survive。 We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea， there will soon be none left。 Yet，with modern fishing methods， more and more fish are caught。We know that if too many trees are cut down， forests will disappear。 Yet， we continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees。 We see that if rivers are polluted with waste products， we will die。 Yet， waste products are still put into rivers。

If one small part is removed, it will affect all the other parts. For example, if certain trees are cut down, bats will have no place to roost.

　　If they cannot roost, they cannot breed. If there are no bats, there will be no animal, or bird to eat certain insects that plague our crops.Our environment has been affected by the absence of certain animals. Certain flowers are pollinated by butterflies which migrate from Canada to Mexico. Some of the breeding grounds of these butterflies were destroyed. Now these flowers are disappearing from certain areas. We will no longer be able to enjoy their beauty.The quality of our life has been changed. America used to be covered with giant trees. 　　This issue is now crying out to be solved and it should be a common concern for the school administration, staff, and all the students. In my humble view, the school should place more dustbins around the set up specific rules against those rude practices. At the same time, students should be encouraged to develop good habits and enough awareness of environment protection.
