Besides, because of the big celebration, we have to prepare many things. Therefore, purchase is essential. We buy foods for the big dinner, snacks and fruits for the holiday. Every family prepares a lot for it, so the market is alive at the end of the year. We can buy everything outside. Cleaning and buying have become traditions.

是“我第一次参加的英语口语竞赛"”。
那是在五年级的时候，老师说：“邢台市教委要举办‘少年英语口语大赛’。”参加竞赛是我梦寐以求的，于是第一个报了名。经过学区、市教委选拔，结果我朝思暮想的愿望实现了。
我高高兴兴的准备了讲演稿，又经老师修改了一番，便如饥似渴的演练起来。英语不同汉语那么好背，感情也不好表现，练了好几天，老师检验总是不合格，这次我真正体会到“台上一分钟，台下十年功”。经过几天的演练。终于，把她背了个滚瓜烂熟。好不容易等到了比赛的那一天，老师领着我们兴高采烈的`奔赴邢台赛区。
进入赛场，我一看名单我在四十多号呢！心想还早呢，就在心里默默地背着稿子……转眼间，剩下几个人就轮到我了。就在我走上台的那一刹那，看到几十名参赛的学生和前排坐着的十几位评委，其中还有一个“老外”，蓦地心里多了几分紧张，就想揣着一只小兔子似的，“怦怦”直跳，只见老师在后面看我，从眼神中看得出是在鼓励我，给我加油！顿时，我有了胆量，我闭眼深吸一口气，轻轻松松的演讲起来，想春节放鞭炮一样，一气呵成。这时，我看到了评委满意的笑容，老师也高兴的笑了，我提在嗓子眼儿的石头也终于落了地。
回到学校，我天天等、日日盼。终于等到了比赛结果，刘校长满怀喜悦地来到我们教室，喜笑颜开的对我说：“浩鹏，你这次参加的英语口语竞赛得了二等奖。”我简直不敢相信自己的耳朵，惊讶地说：“是吗？”我接过证书，只见最上面写着四个金黄的苍劲有力的大字“荣誉证书”。这时我心花怒放抑制不住内心的喜悦，像一只快乐的小鸟飞回了家，把奖状高高举起，让爸爸妈妈们看，他们异口同声的夸我“孩子，真棒！”
