　　导语：中国农历正月初七(2月24日)是中国传统习俗中的“人日”，即“人类的生日”，这在中国至少有两千年以上的历史。

　　大年初七，又叫做“人节”，是所有人类的生日，北方流行吃面条。因为传说女娲初创世，在造出了鸡狗猪羊牛马等动物后，于第七天造出了人。

　　在东南亚的华人聚居区，这一天要捞鱼生，以示步步高升发大财。

In some overseas Chinese communities in Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia and Singapore, it is also the day when tossed raw fish salad, yusheng, is eaten for continued wealth and prosperity.

　　对于中国的佛教徒来说，这一天也是忌荤的一天。因为要纪念因陀罗的诞辰，他是佛教中的护法神。

　　For many Chinese Buddhists, this is another day to avoid 'hun food', the seventh day commemorating the birth of Sakra, lord of the devas in Buddhist cosmology who is analogous to the Jade Emperor.
