Once upon a time, there was a poor fisherman who always dreamed of becoming rich. He wished to become a millionaire, and so did his wife. He had heard from some old men before, that several ships loaded with diamonds and gold had once sunk in the nearby seashore. Because of this, for a long time he kept searching that whole area for this treasure.
One day, while he was sitting on the boat daydreaming, he suddenly felt that the fishing rod was being weighed down by a heavy object. He excitedly pulled hard at it, and what he saw made him exclaim, "Wow! A big, shiny gold chain!" He pulled hard at the gold chain to get it into the boat, but there seemed to be no end to it. His boat started to get over-loaded and the sea water filled his boat.
However, he had begun dreaming of a big house, a big piece of land and buying horses and cows...He kept pulling in the chain though the boat kept sinking. The boat was finally submerged and he struggled to stay afloat. Unfortunately his feet were entangled in the gold chain and he drowned.

In the past a family in the State of Chu made sacrificial offers to their ancestors, and after that they rewarded the people who helped in the ceremony with the pot of wine used in it.
There were many helpers but only one pot of wine. Who
should drink it? Someone suggested: "Each person is to draw a snake on the ground. Whoever draws fastest and most lifelike will get the pot of wine." Everyone thought this was a good idea. One man drew very fast, finished it in the twinkling of an eye, and was given the pot of wine. At this moment, he saw that the others had not yet finished, so he wanted to flaunt his skill once more. He said proudly: "How slow you are! Let me add a few snake feet." Holding the wine pot in his left hand, he began to add feet to the finished snake with his right hand. When he was just adding feet to the snake, another man finished his drawing. Hegrabbed the wine pot at once, saying: "A snake has no feet. How could you add feet to it? The first one who finished drawing a snake is I, not you." Having said this, the man drank the wine with an easy conscience.

The farmer thought some more to himself. "What can I do for you? Make a fire to warm you? No, it"s snowing so hard, and I have only a very small bundle of wood. Besides, my family is waiting for the wood to cook."
The farmer turned round and round anxiously and then said, "I know! I"ll put you under my clothes. It"s warm there." He unbuttoned his clothes and put the snake inside, against his chest.
Some time later, the snake came to life gradually.
The warmth of the old farmer had not changed its cruel nature. It opened its mouth and bit right into the farmer"s chest.
"Oh, my god! How cruel you are! I saved you, but you bit me. Why?" As he was saying this, he took out the snake and threw it on the ground.

"No, good sir," replied the Lamb, "I have not yet tasted grass." Again said the Wolf, "You drink of my well." "No," exclaimed the Lamb, "I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother′s milk is both food and drink to me." On which the Wolf seized him, and ate him up, saying, "Well!
