The existence of an afterlife is never the same. Atheists deny life, thinking that our life is nothing more than a cradle to a grave. They may care about their distinguished names after life; they may have deep feelings for future generations, but they never have hope for the afterlife. They may say that good will be good and evil will be evil, but they do not really believe in the retribution of their afterlife.
However, the belief in the afterlife is very popular among religious circles or superstitious people. They believe not only in the afterlife, but also thousands of reincarnations. In the mysterious world, there are heaven and hell, heavenly gods and gods, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Maybe they really believe it, or they just want to take advantage of people's respect. Ancient emperors always declared that they were real dragons and sons of God, while royal ministers declared reincarnation of various constellations. . But can stars be reincarnated?
Many people not only burn incense, and do good deeds, pursue virtues for the sake of the present, mainly to let God see his sincerity, in order to rebirth a better afterlife, or to obtain the highest revelation after several practical lives. They do believe in the afterlife. But I cannot help asking: assuming there is no afterlife, will you still do good deeds and fight for virtue? If God couldn't see what you were doing, would you still be so upright and selfless? Is it a bit selfish if your job is not to serve the public and liberate others, but for your own afterlife? Compared with such believers, those who do not believe in the afterlife but still do good deeds are the most sincere and honest philanthropists, because they are not for themselves but for others.
You may wonder if I believe in the afterlife. My answer is: I know nothing about previous lives, so I dare not make inappropriate comments about the next life. But I do hope for an afterlife! Because our lives are so short, so many things disappear before we understand them correctly. I have many dreams, many aspirations, many ambitions, and many regrets and concerns. If there is no afterlife, then no one can achieve it!
I am not satisfied with the ordinary life of the moment, I am very attached to the emotion that should belong to me, but was washed away by the rush of time, and I long for if I can start everything perfect and mature again. So believe it or not, I would rather have an afterlife.
